A Weekend Getaway at South Beach Resort in Marblehead, Ohio

My girlfriend Taylor and I recently had the pleasure of staying at South Beach Resort in Marblehead, Ohio. As a social media content creator, I was thrilled when South Beach Resort reached out to me to create content for them. Growing up in Marblehead, I spent my childhood summers camping down the road at Kamp Kozy and boating in Sandusky Bay. Although I knew about South Beach Resort, I had never stayed there before, so I was excited to spend a long weekend experiencing and enjoying the resort.

The resort is perfectly located on Sandusky Bay, spanning 8 acres right on the water. It includes a four-story hotel and 21 cottages available for rent. The lakefront hotel has family-sized suites and rooms with private balconies and in-room Jacuzzis, while the cottages can accommodate families of all sizes. The resort offers a private beach, pools, tennis courts, a playground, a pirate ship splash pad, sand volleyball, basketball, a marina, and a nightly bonfire. It's located in historic Marblehead, close to Cedar Point, Put-in-Bay, and many other local attractions. Plus, the resort is family-owned and operated, adding a personal touch to our stay.

Taylor and I were genuinely amazed by our experience. And I’m not just saying this because of the collaboration—I didn't have to write this blog, but I wanted to because I felt it needed to be said. When something truly wows me, I want to share it beyond just the collaboration. We were impressed by everything the resort has to offer. There's literally something for everyone. If you want to relax, you can do so by the pools or the beach. If you want to stay active, you can play pickleball, tennis, basketball, or go paddleboarding. The hotel also offers a continental breakfast, which was a great start to our days filled with activities and relaxation.

One of the highlights of our stay was the friendly and helpful staff, who made us feel right at home. We also met several guests who spoke highly of the resort and the family who owns and operates it. One family, in particular, had rented all 21 cottages for their annual reunion for over 10 years. It was touching to see their tradition and hear their stories.

Taylor and I also enjoyed the nightly bonfire, where we met families from Ontario, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Ohio. We all shared stories, made s'mores, and enjoyed each other's company. It was a beautiful example of how the resort fosters a sense of community and brings people together.

Our stay at South Beach Resort was nothing short of spectacular. It’s a place where you can disconnect from everyday life and immerse yourself in a welcoming, fun, and relaxing environment. Whether you’re planning a family reunion, a romantic getaway, or just a fun-filled vacation, South Beach Resort offers a wonderful experience for everyone.
